Char Kukri Mukri - Bhola (Bhola) is a char built in the banks of the Meghna and Tetuliya rivers, about 120 km from the district town. This char kukri mukri has one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in Bangladesh. It is located at the mouth of meghna river in the lap of the Bay of Bengal. The island was born in a poly-frozen deposit with a lot of water logging all around. Born in the lap of the sea, Kukri Mukri has been described by many as a dream island. Here the waves of the Meghna river get a form that looks like you're staying on a beach in the sea. On May 14, 1989, a written directive came to the Forest Department in a (last revised) notification that mangroves should be made on at least 360,000 acres of land in Bhola to protect the lives and property of the people of the coastal areas.
At this time, afforestation was started mainly by planting saplings of respiratory plants, but later gradually the saplings of beautiful, gewa, animal, etc. were gradually added. In addition, a large number of keora trees are visible all over the area. Built mainly across a large area, these trees and nearby coconut trees, bamboo and cane forests have combined to form an attractive mangrove or breathtaking forest. Forest department and various sources said that the current dog-mukuri char is 8565 hectares in the wake of broken construction. Of which the wildlife sanctuary is 217 hectares. There are about 4,810 hectares of settlement and agricultural land. The main occupation of the people of Char is fishing and farming.
Among the animals found in the forest of Char Kukri Mukri are chitra deer, monkeys, otters, foxes, wild buffalo-cows, forest cats, forest cocks, etc. And birds as reptiles include different species of buck, forest, conch shell, mathura, woodpeacock, quail, guisamp, bezi, turtle, dog forest and a variety of snakes.
Char Kukrimukri Winter picture is of different kind. The charanchals should be reshaped by the arrival of guest birds rushing from the sudur sairaria. According to experts, about 650 species of guest birds come to Bangladesh during the winter season. In the meantime, the lion's share is in Bhola. Then the char of the dream island of Kukrimukri turned into a sanctuary for guest birds.
Apart from this, the beach here is also quite clean and quiet. Kukrimukri has a slightly different image than other tourist centres in the country. For miles, the huge can of the kriskars has decorated the dream island of Kukri Mukri with a dressing ceremony. Where the number of living trees is more than 90 million. Char Kukrimukri flows through a canal. The canal is called The Bhadani Canal. The canal flows from Meghna's huge chest and falls into the Bay of Bengal. Standing on the dust yam here can be heard nothing but the sound of the sea. Let's move forward. This was followed by the Bay of Bengal. The storm of the waves here will remind you of Cox's Bazar or Kuakata beach. Locals call this spot Balu Dhoom. But the main attraction of Kukrimukri is the beach. Standing here, the sunset or the sun-dipping scene will impress the travelling thirsty. You can also visit the side slope where tarua beach is.
